Bought this mainly for snowmobiling. That works great. It is intuitive to use. Many good Youtube videos demonstrate the functions. The only thing I have to compare it to is my old Etrex 20. The difference is day and night. Not a fair comparison at all. So far I have only 1 objection to Montana - the screen is polarized. I know it's supposed to reduce glare, but if you're wearing polarized sunglasses you have to keep them horizontal or they'll darken. I think most of the time I'll use it horizontally.
