Cheap and effective

Works great! I use this to turn off my chest freezer which I converted into a beer/keg cooler. I like to periodically turn it off for short periods when bottling with the lid ajar so the compressor isn't running all the time when it's open. When I'm done, I turn it back on without having to unplug and plug it in again. Or even when it's empty, I just turn it off because the socket is tight against the wall. I plan to use this to turn other devices on and off like pond pumps

  • Quality construction

  • Good but not great

100% Satisfied - Electrical

AMAZING! Thanks to this, I don't have to worry about plugging electronics and small appliances into the outlet when not in use. You can install 2 of these devices in one box and they will fit. - The on/off switch works like a regular light switch: you flip it up and it turns on (unlike the Leviton model, which works in reverse) - Next to the switch is "Off / On" (unlike the Leviton , which has '-/O'). I liked this model so much that I ordered 8 of them. If you want peace of mind if you have OCD

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • No Automation

Such a simple solution

Our bedroom has a light bar that was installed before we got the house. The only way to turn them on or off is to plug them in or unplug them from the wall. We use it every day, and it's inconvenient to look for a plug on the floor in the dark. This switch is perfect, now we can use it instead of making rough movements by turning it off every time. I also love that it doesn't have a glowing indicator when it's on or off at the switch itself because I think that would be an annoying feature in a

It doesn't interfere with the second outlet - as some do.

I wasn't sure if they do something like this until I checked. The Revain had many options, but I chose this one because it was simple, three-pin, side-mount, inexpensive, and didn't get in the way of a second outlet. The packaging wasn't outrageous so there was no disappointment. Now I can shoot in the dark with my old four foot tube. I am ashamed to admit it has sat on a shelf in the basement for decades and I would pull it out to take photos from time to time. Now I've hung it under a wire…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is fine

They're great for electrical applications

They're great. I use them in my trailer to turn off things I don't need. I usually drive on batteries charged by a solar panel so I don't waste energy. I used to have to unplug things like the TV, which uses little power even when it's off, or the laptop, which I usually only charge when it's sunny, now I just flick the switch. Interestingly in Scotland all the sockets I saw had built in switches, probably to save energy. I've been looking for some of these in the US but couldn't find them…

Pros
  • Rugged construction

  • Big and bulky

Pretty reliable switch

So far this has been a great solution for an outdoor project we've been working on in the garden where some of us take breaks and relax. This was part of a makeshift solution that allowed us to keep the pavilion powered until we had time to properly pipe the whole place. We ran a heavy duty 20Amp extension cable to the gazebo and placed it between the end of the cable and the LED strings which are connected and connected to each other. This allowed each of us to turn on the lights when needed…

  • Cool product

  • Something different

Great product and saves electricity!

I bought these and I'm saying this because I have several to turn off the grinder's display after use. I bought these mainly because the switch on my lamp is difficult to reach as it hangs on a cord and it's one of those ones that you have to turn to turn on the light and it's not very practical. I have two of these lights so I have this switch on each of them that connects to my extension cord and also to the bathroom wall for easy access. If you've had to tuck it deep into the wall behind the

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Pros: Good design, reputable brand. Cons: Non-standard screw (triangle drive). Comparison: Compared to three other switches. Belkin has a low intensity green light, can be used with night light and is non-distracting. Unlit options have less internal wiring, which would be an advantage. Conclusion: I would recommend Belkin as a light and floor switch. For an unlit grounded switch I would choose Leviton. GE will work too. Cannot recommend Uninex due to quality issues. Belkin Conserve Energy…

Pros
  • Innovative - Provides a convenient ON/OFF switch for internal adjustments to provide lighting and other needs
Cons
  • Not sure

Not for switching motor load

Nowhere in the description does it say that this switch cannot be used to charge the motor. One respondent was mentioned in the questions and answers, but nothing "official" in the images or wording. I hope this information is added to the description to avoid disappointment to other buyers. I bought this to turn off an RV fridge so I can continue to use the other outlets in the circuit while the RV is parked next to our garage (and plugged into 120v). I currently have to turn off the breaker…
