Incandescent Garage Light

This is one of two brands we bought for the garage under the house which seems to be slowing down many of the bulbs due to normal upstairs traffic. Let's see how long each brand lasts and move on.

Perfect! Over a year in heavy use and still going strong

Durable and withstands less than perfect handling. I've used it to warm my pet's enclosure, to work, and as a bright light for school. It lasts a long time and is very durable!

Didn't live up to expectations.

Although clearly marketed as a heavy duty lightbulb, it only lasted a few months. The reason I ordered it was because I was hoping it would last longer than standard bulbs in a garage door opener. I got the impression that the vibrations when opening and closing the door were tearing the threads.

I liked the fact that when I went to remove this.

I was looking for this bulb because I needed a bulb that didn't hum. There are two bulbs in the lamp and I only tried one of them. So the light was still on. I really liked the fact that when I took this bulb out after it burned out, it didn't shatter when I dropped it due to the coating. It was a huge bonus! I will say that changing the light switch from a dimmer to a switch handled the buzz.
