So far I am very satisfied with this doorbell. I read all the reviews and concluded it's worth a try. A whole list of tunes wasn't required, so a regular ding-dong was a perfectly satisfactory choice. Setting up the transmitter was easy, and I placed the receiver on a bookshelf in the central hallway. I'm hard of hearing and initially a bit skeptical about the volume, but it turned out to be so loud that I could hear it all over my small house - including the basement.

This was a replacement for a very old doorbell and transformer, the doorbell fitted perfectly where I wanted and plugged the old screw hole . Plus, the little transformer also fitted the gap perfectly in my wall, which allowed me to keep the huge old box from the original doorbell and saved me the trouble of painting the entire hallway. The audio is great and has a huge volume range that I can hear in every room in my house. Great product and great price too

This is great as it's relatively easy to set up and portable if you need to move. I was frustrated that I couldn't screw the bell button on initially, so I made a slight modification by carefully drilling holes in the base of the bell button. I of course had to remove the small circuit board which wasn't difficult, then screw everything in, then replace the circuit board and now it's attached to the door jamb! This doorbell is ridiculously bad. I suspect they call the ringtone "Glockenspiel" because "weakly dying seagull" would be hard to sell. Even in the next room at maximum volume it is not audible. I can't believe this is GE - Jack Welch has to roll over in his grave. I guess the only choice for a non-wired doorbell is crap or a spy cam. Technically I would only give 4 stars but given the value for money this is a 5 star product. Quite small, "loud enough" (I'd like it louder but I'm not that deaf yet), easy to install. Works as advertised - ready to use. A CR2032 battery was included. only (3) AA are required. Good range, easy to install. Was already a couple.
