Great quality, poor workmanship

I have a pair of 5/8" sockets that are AMAZING. However, there are problems with 9/16" heads. They will NOT fit spark plugs in ANY of my cars. The magnetic latch is not set low enough for the head to drive the spark plug. Trials on 13 Forester and 13 CT are pretty standard for 9 /16" threaded connector as far as I can tell. This appears to be an industry issue as another brand of 9/16 inch outlets had the exact same issue.

Changes may be required.

Magnet inserts were not installed to the correct depth in both 9/16 sockets. I had to use a puncher to drive it deeper into the socket to use sockets to switch plugs on the 17 Escape. I haven't tried 5/8 sockets, but I can find that inserts install differently on 5/8 sockets than on 9/16. I don't see how 5/8 would work properly. I'll update this after testing 5/8 jacks but I assume they won't work properly. Photos will also be added later. UPDATE: Tried 5/8 socket today. They fit on spark plugs

Very convenient good price

I only bought this set because I noticed Matco selling it on their trucks and renaming it Matco Tool. I will say if you want to save about $50 you can by buying this set. Well I'll be honest I've had this set for almost a year and have used it sparingly and in the jobs I've done it has worked great, the swivel is well made, the various lifeline extensions for tight spacing, and the magnets were soaked in oil (due to some work where the candle holes were filled to the brim with oil). Now whileโ€ฆ
