🚿 KOHLER Genuine Part GP1144925 High-Flow 3/4" Pressure Balance Valve Cartridge Review

I have tried everything to replace this part and another for my leaky shower. In the end I got a plumber who gave me the best advice. Brand change, apparently I'm not the only one this has happened to.

Unfortunately we were unable to call a plumber to replace the part during the return period. Upon installation, the part turned out to be defective (heavy leaking) and I ended up having to buy the part from our plumber. I shouldn't have bought this part at all, but Kohler failed to honor their lifetime warranty.

The online video was pretty good. My biggest issue was that it was in bubble wrap and not a box. My next problem is that they treat lube like gold and barely give you enough to get the job done. The lube is also in a plastic capsule that will break apart and small bits of plastic will mix with the lube if you're not careful. But it works.

Comes with all required gaskets and silicone, easy to fit. Be sure to watch the video to learn how not to damage the seals during removal and installation. I used a lot more silicone and lubricated the inside of the valve body to ensure the seals were not damaged during installation (as I have done before by damaging the cartridge during removal and installation).
