Passed smog test after replacement. Drive 100 km and off you go. resolved evaporation code long enough for health testing! goal completed.

If your car is older, it is better to replace the fuel cap to avoid the check engine light coming on due to gas vapors escaping from the filler neck. Buying an OEM part is always better.

Not sure why but none of the auto parts stores I've visited here in California have been able to find them. So in the end I decided to go for an expensive product. But it worked, and the car passed smog. FITS: 2003 Honda Pilot

I had a nasty CEL on an Odyssey so I bought a new gas cap. Immediately after ordering, I smeared silicone grease on the o-ring of my old gas cap and the problem was solved. Well my super reliable Odyssey enjoyed it so I installed a new cover anyway. Although in my opinion a little expensive for a simple gas cap.

I bought an aftermarket gas cap to pass a smog test. About 2 weeks later my check engine light came on (I have a 2002 Odyssey). Put that cap on as soon as I got it and my check engine light went out. Don't waste your money on non-genuine parts. At first it was half the price but I ended up spending 1.5x more than I needed!

Didn't help with check engine light (did all the flips suggesting I'm plugging it in wrong or it might take a few hundred miles etc). If it claims to be the original part, it must be. Considering the price, that should be the case. Bought a cheap hat from a local store and the light went out. But again, that's just my experience. I have read that it has helped others.

We received two DTC's on a 2004 Acura MDX related to the EVAP system. Problem and we got the same error codes on the ecu, then we ordered a real one which is a bit expensive but worth it, both DTCs are gone and the car passed the smog test.

Perfect fit for my 2002 Honda Odyssey. It was exactly as described and was delivered on time and well packaged. It was as easy as removing and replacing an old worn out gas cap! For someone like me who doesn't understand mechanics at all, I was so happy to see my check engine light go out after installing the new cover. I've been using it for a few months now and haven't noticed any problems. I'm glad I went with a genuine Honda cap and not a general purpose cap which may not fit either.
