The check engine light came on. Code P0456. .

check engine light came on. Code P0456 for a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe. Googled it and figured there wouldn't hurt to start replacing the gas cap. Ordered and replaced with this more expensive OEM part. Did the trick! quality part. I'm a strong believer in using OEM parts for critical parts and I believe this is one of them.

Buyer beware of gas cap

, installed on my car after installation at Amazon, installed without any problems, after starting the car a few days later the check engine light soon came on, a diagnosis that cost me $100.00 led to this mass evaporation. Leak, bought another cover from Hyundai and the problem was fixed. Some items bought for cars, even if you check the packaging, are actually profitable and can cost you money if you rely on fictitious information. Scattered to say the least!

I had an e-vape cartridge replaced on my car and the engine light issue was resolved. I bought this cap because it was advertised as a "Genuine Hydundai Part". I spent another $150 today because the check engine light came on again after a month. The mechanic ordered a gas cap from Hyundai - the problem was with the gas cap. He told me the cap I got from this dealer was NOT a Hyundai gas cap and that was the cause of the leak. False advertising and I can't return it because it has been used.

  • Replacement parts
Cons
