Genuine OEM Mazda KDY0-46-040 SWITCH: Guaranteed Quality and Authenticity Review

I bought this for a 2014 Mazda CX-5. The seller (dealer) told me that this would not work on my car as it was not in the VIN range. It worked and I believe it works on ANY 2014 model. If you don't already know, the part that fails is the soft rubber button that activates/deactivates the parking sensor. Replacements have hard plastic handles. When I removed my old one, I found a piece of soft rubber lying next to the module.

My Mazda CX-5 wouldn't turn off completely when I put the shifter in park and pressed the start/stop button. After doing a little research, I found out that this part can solve the problem. There are some good how-to videos out there so check them out. This part fitted perfectly and solved my problem 100%! The replacement took about 45 minutes but saved me at least $150 that the mechanic wanted to charge me for it. Highly recommended!

I bought this part because it is a known fact that this part will fail in my make/model of car. Rather than waiting for a recall or paying the dealer a few hundred bucks for a replacement I decided to get the part myself and have it done as I'm pretty handy around the house/auto.
