Used last deer season and worked well. The teeth did their job and didn't become blunt. I will say that Gerber needs to rethink grip design on future models. It seems strange and some people say their hands hurt. Maybe adding an extra rubber pad will help. But overall a great product.

Bought this for my partner this year to help with game cleaning. Doesn't work well as a saw. He couldn't cut the bone. It cuts cartilage and tendons. He had better luck with the scalpel and simple hand amputating of limbs. He also bought a $7 wood saw from Menards (local hardware store) and cuts through bone with no problem. So wouldn't recommend it.

Still, this is a great saw for a man or woman. I bought it after a cheaper one that was gifted to me with a plastic handle finally broke. I mainly hunt deer so I haven't tried moose yet. With deer I can usually get through the sternum with my buck knife, but I used this saw and it did the job perfectly. I also love how his scabbard connects to her scabbards as I plan on replacing my skin knife with a Gerber. This saw is solid, well designed and gets the job done.
