Not all holes have been drilled

This is a hanging board, it serves it's purpose perfectly! Only complaints: 1) Only 4 mounting holes were pierced. I had to drill through one of them, which wouldn't normally be a problem, but it went through the thickest part of the board, so you'll need an extra-long, properly sized drill bit. 2) The texture is ROUGH, excessive

Great for a home full of energetic kids.

We have it hanging above the kitchen door. During the walk, the children do a few pull-ups. It's part of our family's healthy culture. It's important to mount this thing on a good board (I used a 1x10 board I had in my garage) - plywood will work too. It just doesn't match your studs and you don't want it popping out of the wall.

Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Pretty narrow for climbing holds

The thing barely reaches my shoulder width. I don't have broad shoulders. The pockets are deep enough. Some tricks are too easy while others are quite complex. Especially the one-finger pocket. which I don't even think I'll ever try because it seems unsafe. Pretty heavy and durable. decent value. I also have Mautilus 3D. I prefer this one much better. Wider, more grip variety and more grip depth variety.

Looks great and works great

I'm not a big climber so can't rate it that way but works great for my needs. I bought it as a more aesthetic alternative to the pull up bar (the regular ones hanging over your door are so clumsy and ugly). I attached a 3/4 inch piece of plywood to the wall that could hit three studs and then attached the fretboard to it. As such, it's very durable and I'm very comfortable leaning on it with my full weight (180 pounds).

  • Compatibility

Not bad could be better

Nice grip texture and I like the 30 degree grip because it's unique. But the clamps are too close together which is difficult for me (minus one star) and there is very little variety in the grips (minus another star). I'm not sure why two sets of pitches is a percentage on a small machine compared to other crimping options. I also experienced what some others have noted of one side being closer to the wall due to poor editing. Mine is conspicuous but irrelevant for its use. Overall not bad…

Cons
  • Has flaws

Nice to have on Climbing

We are mostly happy with it. Hanging was a hassle as the screw holes don't line up with the studs (and we placed it above the stairs so didn't want to risk 1 stud and then the anchors). The holes are also smaller than the included screws, so the screws will cut into the material when tightened (before they even get to the smaller edge to hold them in place). Installation difficulties aside, it was a pleasure to have. It was a bit scary at first because it creaked a bit, but eventually it calmed

  • Piggy Bank Price

Imperfect Manufacturing

So the galactic minds who designed this placed the mounting bolts 17.5" apart so they wouldn't directly fit the standard 16" apart studs. A minor annoyance maybe, and probably better to install on a piece of plywood. followed the principle "measure seven times, cut once"). started to assemble, pulled out the bubble level and found it was a little wrong. So I had to turn the plywood mount a bit to align the hanging board, now the plywood board is a little crooked next to the door frame and I'm…
