poor construction - didn't last 4 months

Very poorly made, seam between thumb and forefinger came undone in less than 4 months of indoor use (I live in the Northeast so bought these for indoor riding). I have had several different brands of cycling gloves and these are by far the worst I have ever had. I'm even more surprised because while I've probably used them 30 times, I've probably only washed them 2 or 3 times, so I can't say my washing machine beat them. Unfortunately I can't return them so I'll try to sew them up but I'm…

Famous Brand - Keep Quality and Performance?

I don't often have to buy new cycling gloves. So, to some extent, my preferences are dictated by the long-term views of previous couples. My current pair are so weary that my hands seem to go numb on long trips. Did a little research, but not much. I didn't want to overpay for gear that wasn't worth overpaying for. Decided on this Gira after looking at several websites for a consensus. Pros and cons for me. Pros: - great price - great color options (not important to me but nice to have)…

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

The only bike gloves I will buy

I bought my first pair of these gloves at a bike shop two years ago for $40. They worked well but I needed a new, smaller pair because I had lost a lot of weight and my hands were tense. These new ones are great and are $5 less than a bike shop, plus they're often out of stock at a bike shop (must be popular). These are high quality gloves with extensive gel padding. I haven't found any other gloves with more padding than these, and the padding is gel so it takes a lot longer to wear and shrink

Would have been 4-5 if the stitching hadn't unraveled

Pros: + Padding is good for most hand positions + Velor on thumb is good for quick face wiping + Yellow highlighter is nice and bright - better visibility on hand signals+ The pull loops on the middle and ring fingers are VERY helpful when removing the gloves, which is good because. You must know: o. they are quite tight. I measured my hand (girth and length) using their chart and found it to be about in the middle of the average range. I don't want my gloves to be tighter than they are; If…

My favorite cycling gloves

This is my second pair of State Dure gloves and until I see something better I will be back for new ones. They are comfortable and durable - my second pair is still in great condition after a full season. I'm buying them now because as the summer season progresses it's getting harder and harder to find them in my size and the black/red color I want. I ride my bike in hot and humid climates and my hands get wet with sweat. What I love about these gloves is that they keep their size, shape and…
