2 black wires no white wire

The light had 2 black wires and no white wire - especially when the instructions said there had to be a plain white wire. The two black wires were also semi-fused in different places. We could probably work out which black wire the white wire should be based on the tiny writing on the sides, but that would be an unsafe idea for a non-electrician consumer. Will be back for less elaborate and hopefully non-defective light. It's a shame because it was a great tournament!

Easy to install but the wires are different.

I bought these two lights to replace the ugly outdated fans in my living room and they didn't disappoint! They are beautiful and light and emit tons of light. It was pretty easy to install, the only downside was that there are two black wires instead of one white and one black. However, reading other reviews, the black wire labeled is the hot wire, while the plain black wire is the neutral. Aside from a wiring issue, these two bulbs lit up pretty quickly. Outstanding light. Wire Side Lettered Hot/Black

Love the amount of light. It is now lighter at the top than at the bottom. I didn't like that the hot/black wire wasn't marked. This is the one that says it based on reviews from a few years ago but it should be flagged. My only other issue is that you have to set the direction before you set it. I set it up one way, and technically I screwed it up a bit so that + is x instead. Other than that, it's great. Used vintage Edison 60W warm white LED bulbs. 95+ cri undimmed e26. We don't want to…
