I knew this item was overpriced when I bought it but I expected the price to match the high quality of the product. The item I received was well packaged with no visible damage to the packaging. However, the item itself had a nick on the front which was very noticeable due to the lack of paint where the wood was damaged. I really like this wrist rest. I've used other types in the past (like these gel types and the like) and at least I really needed some solid support. I use a dark wood palm rest for my keyboard (different brand, previous purchase) so I wanted to try a solid wood palm rest that is aesthetically similar to my keyboard rest. Obviously I got the end of the barrel. My wood would be classified as Class B. It is mottled and grooved. The corner is damaged and appears to be a rough unfinished stain. I just bought a full sized board and a lead that is way too high for my liking when it hits their board.
