Arrived as advertised, pretty quick. Very easy to disassemble, fill and reassemble. The dispenser mechanism works well and seems strong enough to withstand the inevitable wear and tear. Looks great on my desk and always makes for a friendly conversation.

I read other reviews and thought I'd try it anyway, but yes the globe is not attached to the base. There is a two-tooth defect on the front of the base that prevents the other 3 mechanisms that hold the globe on the base from sliding. They were probably made in two different factories. So the glass ball is on top of the base. i give it back

Put in peanut M&Ms and break the jar. It loads from the bottom instead of the top, which is a bit inconvenient. However, the glass is so thin that if it breaks, the shards will scatter in all directions. Do yourself a favor and stick with plastic. That's not what you want. It's beautiful - it looks beautiful, but you probably want more than just one look.

Very disappointed. Small gums only, the standard size won't fit through the hole. The two parts do not stay together. I kept trying to rotate the top (head) towards the stand but it wouldn't close. Since it's glass, you don't want to make an actual gumball machine out of it, but it's better if it's decor that nobody can touch. In an attempt to twist the pieces together to keep the car intact, I twisted too hard, apparently leaving open glass all around.

This rubber globe is very pretty. The base is a good weight but the glass is very thin and won't take a beating. Flipped once and the bullet shattered. If used as a decoration it will last but not recommended for actual use by children. Also, the dispenser cannot dispense items individually. When you pull the lever down, it dispenses product until you release the lever. But in general the color and material of the base is excellent. Maybe I should have read more reviews myself. I love this car. I wanted this mainly for display purposes, wanted a small gumball machine but wanted it to match my decor so this gold was perfect. You have to be careful when filling the machine because the glass bowl is thin, but I have a similar gumball machine (different brand) and the glass is thin too, so I was prepared for that. The only thing is that when dispensing gum for example, 3 gums will come out at once if you are not careful and there is nothing to catch them like traditional…

My husband and I got one like this for my father-in-law for Christmas, he is not an easy person to buy! We filled him with his favorite candy and he loved it!
