Works so well it can get a bit difficult towards the end of the rub but I've either used the round brush to smudge it or I just finish it off with a knife. The brush will help pick up as much garlic/ginger/whatever you're grating as possible and help clear the plate when you're done. Bonus: I've found that it cleans my cheese really well.

I love this grater! First, it's beautiful and we have it on one of the open shelves in the kitchen. The grater itself works surprisingly well. We made a pizza last night and used a grater to grate some garlic which gave our pizza an amazing flavor. A grater is much easier to use than a metal grater, which I constantly scrape off a layer of skin. We used it on ginger this morning and it worked beautifully too!

I use it for garlic, ginger and radish and this plate is great for all! Staying in place while rubbing is a bit of a learning curve, especially if your hand gets totally wet, but once you've got it down, you're done! Cleaning is easy if you start with the sink right away. Spray bottle or hot water to remove any remaining dirt, then scrub well with a brush. It was worth every penny and on top of that it just looks super nice in my kitchen!

The only downside is that your hands will smell like garlic because you are holding the garlic while grating it on this grater and the juice will spill on you. I recommend purchasing a stainless steel odor eliminator.

I LOVE this product! There is no better way to get garlic paste than this one! I like the cleaning tool, but it's not perfect. It doesn't always grab the skin quickly and can break the clove, causing it to fall apart when you grind it up. tries to hold on to a slippery carnation. In general, the problems are worth it. I still love it and often use it in place of minced garlic. It's a lot quicker, especially when I forgot to add the garlic to something already hot in the pan!
