Enhanced Greenworks Lithium Ion Battery Charger with 40V Power - Model 29482 Review

Replaces the original which is about two years old. I have no idea why the original failed, but this charger seems prone to failure. I love the trimmer/edder but reliability is really important. Quality control and/or engineering in GreenWorks may need fine tuning.

In 2016 we bought the entire range of batteries and an additional charger. A charger stopped working stably about two months ago. He just died. I have ordered a replacement. I hope this one lasts much longer than the bad one. I will update this review if I need to buy another one in the next 12-24 months.

As the title says I had two until I dropped one and it went bad. I tried to survive on just one, but when summer came and the grass grew thick, I really needed the ability to charge two batteries at once to get through it all. Also, I now have a backup in case I get clumsy again. If you have a large lawn and lots of batteries, do yourself a favor and get a second charger.

I have 2 of these chargers, one was purchased separately and the other came with the mower. I have 2 as I had 2 batteries that I would like to charge at the same time. Well BOTH of those chargers are dead now. I bought them around the same time, less than 3 months ago. Now I have no way to charge the lawnmower or edger batteries. Thank you Greenworks! I think I'll go back to a gas mower, my last ten years have used nothing but petrol and oil!

Charging worked for several days, then it began to charge the battery longer and longer. Sometimes the charger status light is green, but the battery status light only has one or two green lights. I called support and explained what was going on. They sent me a new charger, now the battery charges in an hour, all 4 status lights on the battery are green. I ordered a second charger and 2 more batteries. Batteries are used in blowers and trimmers. It's been a week now while the charger is working

3.5 stars for this company at the moment. Just take a look. 2 lawn mowers. The WiFi died 3.5 years after the 4-year warranty expired. A replacement was sent after I drowned completely. 2 trimmers 2 chargers 2 batteries 1 chainsaw 2 leaf blowers - one died. I ordered the exact battery specified in the ad and it came with my mower. This battery should be a backup battery for the lawnmower. The battery that was delivered was not the one I ordered and the specs were slightly different. It didn't work on my lawn mower. The lawn mower would turn on and immediately shut off. The special charger is one of those difficult items to review. As long as it works and doesn't die on you, you really have nothing more to ask for as there are no other options to choose from. It charges quickly and allows us to mow an entire garden in one day instead of having to do it for several days like having to charge overnight. I have two of these chargers, plus two 4Ah batteries and two 2Ah batteries that I'm trying, a Greenworks electric mower (model 25302) and a Greenworks -Blower (Model 24282) to power ). I live outside of Dallas and like a normal person, I keep this gear in my garage. Our property is 0.3 acres with approximately 8300 square feet of lawn.
