Junk - Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets

This item is so cheaply and sloppily made I wonder how it meets any standards? Parts will stain your fingers black and those parts will touch the food being processed. The knife, broken off in several places, also touches the inside, making it impossible to use. Please see photos for clarity. Also, cynically, is there a guide to preserving meat?!Country of origin is optional.

Not all countertops are created equal :-)

A meat grinder would probably work well IF there was room in my kitchen to mount it. The main issue is that the "countertops" to which it attaches are just over 1" thick (the stainless steel coated rolling island shown is 1 1/16" thick with the wooden base protruding). Also note that a square edged table is the only frame/table style that gives the grinder any "grip power". My square countertops are too thick (1 1/2 inches) and my wood kitchen table has a "rounded" edge. Others have noted the…

Please read my story on the best cheap coffee grinder I've ever used.

. My college roommate and I bought a 520 pound pig. destroyed it Hauled it to my backyard in a U-Haul trailer. I stab processed. We then wanted to grind every 200 pounds of pork into one sausage. After purchasing this grinder we tried hand grinding it but it was too slow so we hooked up my Ryobi drill to it. After 2 drill bits and 3 electric motors burned out and after 14 hours of continuous pork chopping, this meat grinder was finished and is still used for other small things. Please if you…

This block works. but expect some things to change!

I actually had problems with it. I had to disassemble it, rebuild it, removing all the plastic washers and adding stronger metal washers instead. Then I had to level the cut surface. At least sharpen the blades and make sure they are flush with the cutting surface! After 3 hours and about $6 it now works properly and cuts a thread or strip of paper. Oh yeah! Before the meat just sticks to the front, you'll stop grinding and become mush. All gap dimensions are missing, the blade does not close…

Instead, take the electric

does not grind meat. It flips it around and pushes it back out of the hole where you dropped the pieces. I froze everything and the meat was mostly frozen but quickly thawed and made into a puree. It might be better with veggies, but forget meat. The block doesn't take apart much, and while it's anodized, the blades aren't. The one with the smallest holes rusted on first use. It's also a little tricky to screw it firmly to the counter, so I put some rubber shelf liners under and over the piece…

Scrap - Kitchen Utensils & Utensils

The first problem is that the vise is not high enough to mount on a standard worktop. Then the sanding plates rusted immediately, even though I dried them after washing. The cast is very rough and difficult to clean, but it helps shred the meat, which is great since the cutting blade is about as sharp as the back of a butter knife. Also, the position of the feed auger relative to the "mouth" causes the pureed meat to be ejected back out of the feed duct, requiring you to grab the meat with your

ATTENTION! EXTREME DANGER

Before considering purchasing this product and in any case before using it, please note that (at least on my device that was sent) flesh, metal tips are clogged. My father had a machine shop so I'm reasonably familiar with the process of making these cymbals. The panels are fed through a drilling machine and holes are drilled. After this step, the holes are cleaned in a process called "deburring”. The creators of this article don't seem to have bothered to take the time to take this step. The…
