It's been a while since I bought this because I had to call a plumber to install it. Installed hot water only circulates after 4-5 minutes! The plumber came back and said it was hooked up, right? WAITING! Did another plumber have to pay for the tire change? HOT WATER STILL NOT FLOWING IN less than 5 minutes? MONEY ALL TOO MANY TIMES! Conclusion: The circulation pump does not work!

This is a great pump for the price. I replaced another Grundfos model from 2003 and finally failed when it dried up when my fountain was out of service and needed repairs. I wanted to emphasize my frustration with the quality of the plastic used to house electrical components and cables. I had to replace 59896115 Grundfos but this model is no longer made. You can SIMPLY replace it with 59896155 WITHOUT any tools other than a 5/32 hex bit (6 sided). Simply loosen the four hex head screws securing the new electric pump to the water housing and do the same to the old existing pump. after turning off the water supply and replace them! Dear Seller: Please provide a correct picture. Use mine if necessary. This pump was purchased to replace its 1999 predecessor. It smelled like burnt rubber and stopped working after 21 years of hard work. The old product number was 59896163 (blue) and this is 59896155 (red). Getting the old pump out was a difficult task as the bolts were frozen. After the flanges were wire brushed and repainted, the new pump was ready to go. However, an installation warning is appropriate. BLEED BLEED ALL air trapped in your water lines. When you think all the air in the lines is gone. . . that's probably not the case.
