Satisfied Customer - Sew

Very Nicely Durable. I needed something stronger so the center of my bows would hold up well and it worked. Didn't tear when tying

Works with floss and thread

Gutermann is known for its quality thread and this quilting thread does not disappoint. It glides across fabric without bunching, puckering or breaking. One objection: I had some trouble getting the tiny patchwork eye between the needle.

Particularly suitable for hand sewing.

I've never had a problem with Gutermann thread, whether it's machine sewing or needlework. This is my favorite hand sewing thread because it's the least rebellious brand I've ever dealt with. It's great when you just need to sew something, but don't have time to properly wax and iron the thread.

Smooth and durable; great for hand quilting

I mainly use Gutermann & Mettler yarn for a number of reasons: It lints a lot less than many other brands of yarn (Coats & Clark in particular) This cotton quilting yarn is smooth and won't twist and pucker when they are sewn by hand as I have experienced with other brands. - Doesn't tear as badly as I've experienced with other brands. - The wax helps the thread slide smoothly through layers of fabric and batting, lighter than other brands I've experienced - Good 40 weight, slightly…
