GW 4 Conversion Digital Compact Camera Review

Is that all? Good. Images are sharp. My two criticisms are the plastic adapter and the rubber hood. For this price I would have wished for better accessories.

Definitely worth owning but not for $219 plus tax. Luckily I bought a supposedly "damaged" one from Revain for $162 with no damage at all. However, this kills the portability of the Ricoh GRIII.

Amazing corner to corner sharpness, great build quality. Although the camera is quite heavy, it does add weight to the front of the camera, but this is inevitable given its lightness. Very happy with my purchase. 21mm (FF equivalent) is cool.

This item is HUGE and HEAVY. I have used conversion lenses from other manufacturers but this is the best. Image quality is excellent, perspective is excellent. The 21mm angle is ideal for close-up and long-distance photography and this lens will not disappoint. You can still attach 72mm front filters. The 49mm hole on the adapter allows you to add ND filters to your main lens.

Does not affect the picture quality. Heavy but useful for close-up macro photography. You need a 72mm filter to protect the GW-4's glass, especially for macro photography. Click on the macro, get TOO CLOSE. The adapter is a 49mm filter. Closes the lens well in a dirty environment, subject to protection. The cost is a painful 300.00 for a couple. Then 30-40 dollars for 2 decent filters. However, it is noticeable that IS with the GR 111 offers lower illumination without tripod macro photography…

I thought I would buy a new lens for my DSLR. From that point of view, it's worth noting that the image quality is on par with a regular lens, which is sharp and has good bokeh. Autofocus and lightfastness appear to be similar, but I didn't stress test them, just didn't notice any issues.
