I had this when my boyfriend screwed up! It's perfect and easy to install. I like that it can be "fixed" directly to the ceiling without hanging down. Helps cool us down when we're getting "hot"! Works perfectly.

This fan is very nice and quiet and also offers a decent amount of light. It was bought to replace a fairly new Hunter brand fan that just stopped working. This Harbor Breeze model was chosen for its wide (probably 15″) hull base. The Hunter had a smaller base that didn't cover the edges of the previous ceiling light. Liked the looks and works well at high speeds (disappointing at medium/low fan speeds, not as much air movement as other models). Installed a 52" unit in a 12x12 bedroom with 8ft ceilings - operates quiet, diffused lighting. The fan needs to be high to have a big effect (we have another 52" model in a larger room that has better air movement). Very happy with this fan. I had it about 3 months. The electrician said the installation was easy. He noted that it was as heavy as it looked, so it was solid and strong even though it wasn't made of wood. You need to make sure you have the right support in the blanket as it is heavy. We were able to reinforce the ceiling and route it away from the attic. I use the fan at maximum speed and it's just right for my 15x15 bedroom. No knocking or annoying noises.
