We purchased 3 crates, one crate was damaged upon arrival. We thought having the bigger slats on the bottom would be better for dogs, however if a dog/puppy pees the pee either sits on the slates or it runs off the sides. We had to purchase additional bottoms to put under the kennel because the there is a bar that goes down the middle of slats and separates the bottoms it comes with, leaving a gap for pee or poop to drop through.
