Not Worth The Investment

i purchased this indexable insert holder for my industrial and scientific cutting needs but it was a complete disappointment. Through trial and error, I found that the tool was not compatible with my existing equipment and the shank holder was poorly constructed. While the price seemed reasonable, the quality was subpar and not worth the investment....

That's enough for a newbie like me.

All holders except the boring bar are affordable. All of the tool holder sets I've seen used either a 5/8" mandrel or a round bottom shank to hold the boring bar.
