🔍 HHIP 4901-0314 3 Piece Combination Square Set with 0-12" Blade – Ultimate Precision and Versatility Review

This item is not square, they sent me another one and it wasn't square either. They told me that's how they're made and there's nothing they can do about it. Must be zero star!

I was deceived by the appearance of this set and thought it was a much nicer brand. I put in a square and did a quick test and it came out 1/16th of an inch. Also, at both ends of the ruler are the zero engravings on the blade that need to be ground down to ensure correct measurements.

Both ends of the ruler have been sharpened at an angle from 0 to the 1/32 mark. It turned out to be hand polished. Replaced with a known good 12" Starrett gauge and tested all 3 heads with a known good 6" Starrett gauge. All 3 heads failed the squareness test. The protractor rule was offset about 1/2 degree and couldn't be adjusted other than making the holes oval. Bad knurling on knurled nuts. Edit: Kudos to HHIP, I contacted support about the inaccuracies and they 100% fixed it. The new tool is inexpensive, very accurate, precision ground, with good fit and finish. Combination, protractor, center finder - all within spec. I highly recommend this store and product.
