The "shaft" of this cutter is thin, or flat, so you can fold chopped veggies, but you can't make waffle fries - they take a long time to slice and are so thin they fall apart before they hit the hot oil . If the wave were twice as "deeper" I would give it 5 stars in every respect. However, it has multiple uses.
