    Sounds great and has plenty of power

    Sounds great. I use it to feed Hifiman Sundara which it does easily. Also use it with TIN P1. I am using a cable to connect to an iPhone.

    Good sound but weak cables/connectors

    Update: Seller was contacted once for a recall. However, after initial contact, they never returned. Nothing has been done by the seller. Good sound quality and handling for low-impedance headphones, but the lightning cable broke in one day. I would give 5 stars if the cable was more powerful.

    Surprisingly good - UPDATE - NOT WORKING

    As an iPhone music lover I wanted an inexpensive Lightning DAC/amp for portable use with my JHA-Ciem. I chose this one based on an ASR review. It's surprisingly small and sounds really good. Compared to other (cheaper) built-in DACs/amps I've tried, this definitely performs better and sounds fuller. No complaints. Recommended.Update - It no longer works and of course it's out of the return window now. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED

    Great little DAC on receivers and amps

    I use this with my Galaxy S9+ and some Sundara headphones. The DAC does a fantastic job, sounds great with the USB Player Pro and drives the Sundara perfectly. It comes with a good set of cables that fits most devices with different types of connectors, but the cables are quite flimsy and don't fit my phone snugly, causing disconnects. I quickly bought a replacement cable that fits much better. Five starts with the DAC, but minus one with the accessories.

    Fool me twice, shame on me!

    As others have said the sound quality is great but the build quality is terrible. After the lightning USB connector broke on the first unit I bought (it broke within the first month) I returned it and bought the amp back hoping I'd have better luck the second time around would have. The Lightning cable on the second device only lasted a week and a half. To make matters worse, the first 3 replacement cables I tried turned out to be incompatible with the amp.     Exceptional, with some complaints

    Sound quality easily rivals entry-level mid-range desktop DACs. Far beyond the inaudible noise level. Great portable design and the included cables are very snug, very flexible and feel solid. Excellent build quality, feels solid and sturdy yet lightweight. Strong performance for such a small device, despite the lack of USB power delivery, my Koss PortaPro makes my Koss PortaPro too loud at maximum volume when controlling my smartphone. Works out of the box with my Android Oreo device and works

    great sound better than the competition

    Switching to that sound from Dragonfly Red this unit is much better and half the price. The Red simply lacked bass, and while it was accurate in the high frequencies, the incredible weakness of the bass left it without "character" and much of the music sounded thinner than it should. With Hidiz, the sound is as precise and detailed as the Red, but without the subtlety. Simply better, fuller and more lively all around.     Right off the bat, it's not about finding a product that exceeds DAC's quality standards. There are many high-quality DACs that come with headphone amps, not to mention individual DACs that can be purchased for over $500. If your goal is to find the best DAC solution under $500,000, you can certainly go elsewhere and have many DAC or amp options, both combos and standalone.
