My only thermal paste for almost 20 years.

It's amazing that the retail price of AS5 remains so low considering it's better than most other brands of thermal paste, including the ridiculously overpriced ones (Kryo - no names, MX- kay?)

    Pros
    • Pleasant
    Cons
    • Good but not great

    Does what it's supposed to

great for a CPU heatsink/fan, the brace was a nice useless thing, it actually works, usually use those blank credit cards from cable companies or card companies with the latest offer.

    Pros
    • New to my collection
    Cons
    • Blank

Have been using this thing for over 10 years - still reliable as ever

Of course there are other thermal compounds that have come out over the years with supposedly better thermal properties - but if I'm honest - most of them are just advert - antec artic silver has never let me down - always better than factory paste - bought when i ran out of phone after my phone broke and i had to transfer cpu and cooler from the old board to the new one - fills those Gaps in non-rotated coolers like the one in the photo look good - the CPU package temperature ranges from 45-55

    Pros
    • Trial for a year
    Cons
    • Only available in white

Arctic Silver is always at the top!

Overclocking Intel I9-9900K by 38% with Corsair integrated liquid cooling. Arctic Silver helps with heat transfer and the OC software gives the cooler a 160% rating.

    Pros
    • Complete Kit
    Cons
    • Legacy model

A good bang for your buck

I personally think it's a good buy. Only 4 degrees. The C is higher than the top (non-metallic) paste - and the price is good. Why not 5 stars? No production date on the tube

    Pros
    • Stylish and modern design

    PS4 Pro Fan Noise Fix

I used this on my PS4 Pro which kept getting hot making the fan sound like a jet engine. After replacing the standard thermal paste with this, the system runs much cooler and the fan is now not even making any noticeable noise. I've been using it for a few months and no problems at all. This actually solved the problem I was having.

    Pros
    • GOLS Certification
    Cons
    • Some Deficiencies

    Arctic silver is the best!

I've only been using Arctic Silver 5 since my Phenom X6 1100T. Next up is my 6700K. And finally my water-cooled 1080 GTX Evga SC with G12 Kraken Bracket and Kraken X42. Wonderful performance. Believe it or not, the spreader is the best part to apply evenly to the die.

    Pros
    • Easy setup
    Cons
    • Only available in black

Works great and cools the processor

I've used it on several different computers and it cools the processor well. After installing a processor I always check the temperature to make sure the processor isn't overheating and I haven't had any issues on any computer I've used Arctic Silver on.

    Pros
    • Excellent
    Cons
    • There are other interesting options.

Works great (do not use the spreader provided)

DO NOT USE THE SPREADER. Place a very small blob in the center of the CPU and then press firmly on the heatsink. Spreading the paste REDUCES YOUR EFFICIENCY and there are videos on Youtube demonstrating this. Lowered the temperature in my laptop from 90°C to 75°C at full load. It is worth buying if you need to paste again. The tube is tiny, but I've hardly used it on CPU and GPU dies. Most likely this will last a lifetime unless you fix computers for a living.

    • Beautiful appearance
