I got the anchor worms after buying a catfish at my local fish store. I didn't know it had an anchor until I saw it on my arowana. I knew it was from Pleco as I only feed pellets and shrimp. Already at week 4 and approaching week 5 and zero results. I took out each anchor worm with tweezers, did a 75% water change and treated as directed. This is supposed to be a 3 week treatment but it is very stressful because the fish are again infested with anchorworms when the next scheduled dose arrives. This drug works great. I got a new goldfish with anchor worms and he quickly wiped them out. Instructions are given for treating a pond, but you can easily convert and figure out how much you need when treating an aquarium. And it didn't damage the biofiltration system. And it didn't seem to have any harmful effects on the fish. I tested the water throughout the treatment and no ammonia or nitrite was found in the tests.
