We purchased these anchors for a home DIY project and we weren't impressed .Based on our own experience, these anchors had trouble holding up even the lightest of objects. We even tried using more than one anchor in a single SPOT, and still, they didn't do their job. It was a frustrating experience that ended in us needing to go out and buy different anchors from a different brand..

The picture shows the best view of the anchor which consists of two cast body parts sliding apart. What did matter was one that had a thinner metal body, mostly bent to the sides. Bending the metal requires a certain amount of torque, so the screw usually turns before it settles in the hole. I wanted to replace the "flexible" type that came free with the instrument with a cast type. What you get looks like an ITW Red Head tube bolt.
