This aftermarket solenoid had to be modified to fit the engine. I'm a bit disappointed. But it does its job at a reasonable price.

I searched, found what I needed, ordered, arrived on time, installed, pulled the cord and my lawnmower started. Ditch the mic, it couldn't be simpler or more straightforward.

Disappointed with this ignition coil having bought a B&S mower. The screw holes in the new spool were too small, preventing the screws from threading easily into the motor. Tried to drill it to enlarge the holes and damaged the new coil. Be careful when buying - it may not be as advertised.

Not exactly a match but close enough. I have MTD (now separated from B&S) after 2008 120602-0146-E1 B&S. It's hard to find one part so I have to pick the next one. Many of you will have the same problem. B7S generally does not support pre-2008 engines with reliable information. Since the collapse, MTD has fled the Chinese auto industry. And MTD refuses to issue its own parts manual until 2008. Like the Slacker Dad he is.
