Nintendo DS Lite Hinge Axle Review

I bought the DS on ebay for $10 and managed to replace the hinge in just a few minutes, thing works very well and it was great value, fast delivery too.

I ordered this because I thought my old axle was broken but when I disassembled my DS I found that the shroud around the axle was worn and my old axle was fine. For this reason I have not installed or tested this product, so I cannot comment on its usefulness.

When I bought my first Nintendo DS controller for over $100 I thought it would be durable, just like their NES systems, boy was I wrong. Now stop it, the games and controller work great, I play them for hours, but it's the little things that give me problems. The weakest parts are the hinges/axles of the units. The original had crazy glue on it and didn't work. We received this part and sent a message to the seller. Although the reply came promptly - same day - the message was unacceptable.
