They work well while they work. I had to send the first one back after about 2 weeks. Just exchanged. Works well when it works. It usually works again with a little jiggling. I put a small piece of foam rubber in it with a few drops of orange essential oil. Therefore, the air blown out by the fan smells good.

It really "grabs" the smoke when the cigarette is in the ashtray. I had to change the batteries after a week but the filter still works so definitely worth it. The ashtray works exactly as I wanted it to. I use it with a small table top filter and with two of these the room is a lot cleaner and I don't have to worry as much about secondhand smoke.

I like the idea of this product and the first one I bought worked fine for about 2 months. Then it just stopped working so I bought another one because they were cheap. Then that one stopped working after about a week, so I bought a third one (I'm stupid, I know). I got the third one, put the batteries and filter in exactly as directed, and guess what? Yes, the third one doesn't work at all! Terrible, disposable, cheap product.

i've only used it a few times because it's a bit bulky for me but it works and it's quite cute since i use an empty can Tin Ashtray Altoids (and have for years) I already have a 'bin' for my ashes and cigarette butts and I can take (and have) my tin everywhere, as soon as I close the tin the smoke stops NOW.
