Efficient Cooling Solution: HOLMES 16 Inch Oscillating Wall-Mountable Fan, Black (HMF1611A-UM) Review

Our tiny cabin gets very hot in the summer, too hot for our air conditioning. We installed this hoping to bring the air closer to the ceiling. The fan does almost nothing. I have a much smaller Vortex fan that is about 8 times more powerful. Also blades made of thin plastic. I probably should have checked for power or something before buying. I recommend choosing the best product, even if it's a bit more expensive.

Great product. Bought a similar cheaper model for my son's room and was very dissatisfied, this fan was great. The only downside is that I wish they hadn't used a screw in the blade cap which takes a little longer to clean. For feedback complaining of noise or rattling, with the bracket installed correctly, simply bend the tab on the back of the fan towards the fan a little more. The wall mount will be a little harder to hit, but it will be much stronger and eliminate unwanted noise.

Great product for the price. Just received today. Assembly took no more than 5 minutes and another 10-15 minutes to install the wall mount. The cruise control cord appears to be stuck. If you pull down, it goes to the next speed, but the string doesn't "reset" to pull again at the next speed. You have to turn the knob and it will release the tension on the string.
