🚽 Bronze Toilet Brush with Holder by Home Basics: 4.5 in x 15" – Effective Bathroom Cleaning Tool Review

I really liked it when I got it a year ago, it's attractive. However, while cleaning recently, I noticed a spot of rust on the terrazzo floor underneath. It looks like the stain is permanent. Not recommended if you have a porous floor.

Nice addition to the bathroom. It's not very durable. I had to tighten the knob that screws into the stick before trying it. Brush effective - cleans the toilet. But use a light touch and don't press too hard. I bought one in bronze and the other in chrome. Both look good.

Would come back if I knew how. Poor quality material. The one I ordered had a dent. Was glad he said it had a plastic liner as it can be soaked and sterilized. I had previously made one all the way up so it could be removed and cleaned. It only has a cheap 4" or 6" liner on the bottom making it almost impossible to clean! Spend more money and get better quality! Not worth the money!

When first delivered the brush was missing the entire bottom of the canister. Although replaced fairly quickly, the item itself is not durable and small. So I'm afraid that the brush will break in two when cleaning your toilet, and because such a small size requires more effort to clean the entire toilet. On the plus side, hiding the brush itself is a good thing. However, I would advise against buying this product.

Okay I bought it not to use the brush and holder. I bought this as an eye-catcher to have "toilet wipers" ready in the bathroom. And the holder is ideal for that! It is well made with quality materials and very attractive to use. In fact, the knob at the end of the brush handle is the perfect "handle" for the top (separate from the brush) base of the holder. And the cup insert ensures the wipe stays clean and leaves no residue. And as a bonus I get a nice toilet brush! A win!

Looks great in a bathroom with oiled bronze fixtures and looks solid (well made). The column, cap and handle are made of metal, the rest (base, inner pipette and pen tip) are made of plastic. I deduct a star for the fact that the edge of the toilet knocks with metal when using it due to the small distance between the brush and the metal cap. We have an oblong toilet and imagine if we had a standard/round toilet it would be more of a problem. A telescoping handle with locks (a la Swiffer grips)…

I was happy to find this item because it matched the furnishings in my apartment and was willing to pay a little more for a mostly cheap product for that reason. When it arrived and I removed the inner plastic packaging, it was dented and scratched on one side - that's how the manufacturer packaged it (not Revain). I bought this toilet brush because I really like the look of it. After we remodeled the bathroom, I wanted something a little more unusual. This product has a horrible design flaw: the handle is a thin metal tube which is then pressed onto a metal ring (point) on the lid. Regular gentle brushing will stretch the metal tube at the joint and then without warning the handle will separate from the lid and brush. The product looked nice in the photos but is essentially unusable as it does not stand up to even the light daily brushing of the toilet bowl. I wanted to replace my normal toilet brush with a modern one. The Home Basics Bronze toilet brush is attractive because it is there. The lid and barrel of what I received are metal. The rest of the parts appear to be plastic. The bronze color is beautiful and the overall quality is good. However, the toilet brush is "short" in length.
