I gave up on the Chamberlain HomeBridge because it almost never connected or worked. I would have to keep turning it off and on again, and after that it might work for 5 minutes. This ReFoss device connects directly to your garage door motor and works seamlessly with HomeKit. I am more than satisfied and really unbeatable for the price. What a great and simple product. The Refoss garage door opener works natively with HomeKit and has an easy to scan code right on the device. It works much better than the Chamberlin I replaced. It connected directly to my WiFi and then to my Home Kit. Wiring was easy, just had to plug the wires directly into where my wall switch's wires went into my opener. The only thing I wished for was a way to attach the sensor wires to a track or track and maybe a bracket to mount the sensor on the door. I'm a fan of home automation with over 70 devices in my home including Insteon, ZWave and Hue. I recently decided to try Homekit and wanted something to control my garage door. I bought this device at the suggestion of the Homekit subreddit. Installation took about 15 minutes, the longest part was installing the sensor. The hardest part of the installation was figuring out which terminals on my garage door opener plug in the 2 wires coming out of the control module. Before you can pair this opener with the Home app, you MUST DISABLE 5GHz signals on your Wi-Fi router (if it passes 5GHz and 2.4GHz frequencies).
