Not strong at all! Says it holds ten pounds!? I would like to see what

you could buy them at the store for dollars. I needed a very strong clothespin, the description here said it could hold ten pounds! The pack says 2kg. Frank false advertising because this line was decisive for my purchase! I hope you're not wrong too

Pros
  • wooden clothespin with spring
Cons
  • ribbon

Too light weight for hanging clothes

These are not the strong wooden clothespins I was looking for. A light breeze blew my clothes off the rope onto the floor. A few of the pins fell apart when I opened them to hang my clothes and some of the pieces of wood broke. We've had a wet winter and since I've had them I've only been able to hang my clothes outside three times.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Alright

A very simple but indispensable household item

Sometimes things are invented that are perfect from the start. Wooden clothespins fall into this category. And these are perfect for that purpose. The spring is strong, the two pieces of wood fit together well, and they hold everything from clothes to bags of chips. It's one of those everyday objects that becomes more useful the more you use it. I am very, very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • This product is made in China
Cons
  • Contemporary

Poor quality, good for storage and organization

I bought these clothespins based on good reviews. I've been hanging clothes on clotheslines for over 30 years. They're not cheap, they're expensive because they break too easily and don't last long. The wood is thin and the wire is thin. The part of the clip is too short to provide a good grip, smooth folding and line trimming. The wind tears them apart. I'll keep my package because I still need some clothespins, but now I need to find some clothespins that work and last a while.

Pros
  • This clothespin holds up to 10 pounds per clip
Cons
  • Almost everything is included

Rate clothespins? - Laundry storage and organization

I thought it was stupid if someone had to rate a clothespin. When I moved into my house about 11 years ago, there was a clothesline, so I bought clothespins and used them for years. I don't remember what brand they were or where I bought them. One day I decided I wanted new ones so I threw away all the old ones and bought some new ones at my local big store. They were terrible! They easily tore, stuck to clothing, or just didn't hold up! I couldn't believe I threw away the amazing clothespinsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Birkenwald
Cons
  • Not the best

Read before you buy!

WOOD: These are typical mass-produced clothespins. The wood varies from pin to pin, but all of mine have worked well. Some of them seem a bit rushed, but since I bought them for "adult use" I made sure to run my fingers through the holes in each one. There are no shards here. One (out of 50) had a tear in his back. However, I just snapped off the smaller side and it works fine. SPRING: Springs are offset in some cases so they don't sit perfectly flush. You can close them more carefully if thatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Same dimensions as regular clothespins: 0.5H x 0.4W x 3.3D inches
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Inexpensive but just what I was looking for

These are basically your stereotypical wooden clothespins. There are two wooden sides with a metal spring holding them together. The spring is quite strong and can easily hold even the heaviest garments. I've hung prom dresses, small blankets, and even large bath towels with just a clip or two. I'd say it's been a pretty tough spring. Each individual pin designed as a small hole to attach to a clothesline and then as a flat spot to attach to clothing. I find this works best if you attach bothโ€ฆ

  • Quantity per pack: 50pcs
