Good secondary thermal solution, not primary.

I prefer to camp in spring and autumn so that it hardly freezes at night. I have a tent heater, but I turn it up on everyone's feet when we go to bed and it kills the last bit of chill so the kids don't whine.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Negative gift

Cheaper than Thermacare!

If they were bigger they would get 5 stars - mainly because I use them for back pain. They stay warm for about 8 hours and the glue sticks very well to clothing. (DO NOT put glue on skin.) The price is great and the package slips easily into your purse or travel bag to keep you warm or relieve pain on the go. I usually buy them from the dollar store, but they only have stocks for a short time during the winter, so this is the best option for me.

  • Good
Cons
  • Doubtful

Great for toes or fingers and lasts a long time.

I have Raynaud and my fingers are very sore from the cold. I also have horses and spend a lot of time outdoors. I use them over a pair of glove liners and then slip gloves or mittens over them. They stick where you put them (I wear one on my fingers and one on my thumb) unlike hand warmers that just fall into your glove. Of course they are also great for the toes. My daughter sometimes works in the freezer and swears by this product.

  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not sure

Much needed - camping and hiking

I have Raynaud's disease on my fingers and toes which causes them to get cold very quickly making them painful and sometimes impossible to walk. I'm a runner too. If I run in rainy or chilly weather, I make sure to use them. I also wear heels to work and will wear them with heels. Sometimes it hurts a lot and I reach for them to soothe my toes and ease the pain they are doing. I cannot praise them enough. They are cool! I couldn't do most of what I do if I didn't have this to keep my toes warm.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • unreliable

I burned my toes camping and hiking

Received the toe warmers today and have just used them. I followed the instructions and put on an insole and then put on my shoes. It was getting very hot and when I got up I felt a burning sensation in my toes. I quickly undressed my legs, took off my socks and worked on my burned toes. After about 5 minutes I noticed the pads were puffing up like a ball and feeling very hot. This product is extremely dangerous. Needless to say they will be returned. I don't know if I received a faulty batch…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Not very good in hand and foot warmers

I personally found that they work slightly better if I open them up and let them air out for 10-15 minutes before putting them on my sock and in my shoe. PLEASE REFER TO THE INSTRUCTIONS NOT TO DO THIS SO I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU DOING THIS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS IS JUST WHAT WORKS FOR ME. They don't heat up very long, so I massage them with my toes every 10-15 minutes while sitting in a tree. This seems to heat them up again, but personally I think I'll try either a battery powered system

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Reliably keeps you warm

I used to have battery-powered socks for snowy days. Overpriced, itchy, unnoticeable heat, 4 D-cell batteries hanging from the sides like lead clusters. Cannot be machine washed. I didn't even know toe warmers even existed until I bought them at the drug store. I didn't mind shoveling snow back then. The best thing is that they do their job. Cold feet become warm, warm feet stay warm. They always work. If you MUST wear dress shoes: low or mid heel pumps, boots or loafers, wear high density…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Minor problems

Even when hiking in winter, your fingers won't turn blue!

I wear Raynauds and going out in winter or hiking in temperatures below 60F was unbearable until I found these toe warmers. They are the perfect size to get my shoes out of the way and still keep my toes numb for hours. The sticky pad keeps them from moving too much. You can try on a pair of shoes before wearing them all day. If the shoes are too tight, they may not fit. My mud boots weren't a good choice for her, but my mud tennis shoes fitted perfectly. It just depends on how much wiggle room

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

upset. the best in safety and survival

On December 24th I ordered two packs (14 pairs per pack, 28 pairs total) of Hot Hands "Toe" heating pads from House Smart. They arrived yesterday the 27th and when I opened the packages there were only 24 pairs and half of those expire next year. One already has an expiry date of October 2019, 11 expires in May, August and December 2020 and 12 expires in November and December 2021. I used to buy Hot Hands heating pads and they always had an expiration date of a few years. When I placed this…
