It was exactly what I was looking for in a home office second screen. Big, clear, excellent resolution. Installation <1 minute. I hooked it up to my FireStick and video game system just to see what I can do and it worked fine. Judging by where the cables plug into the back it would be difficult to mount it on a flat surface, but that's the only downside I see. Very happy with my purchase.

If you plan on using this for work I wouldn't recommend it. Pale backlight + grainy + poor refresh rate + extremely cheap build quality + poor color reproduction and pathetic build quality. You will feel that you have fallen in price. I'm afraid that the cables might melt with prolonged use. It can be used as a home monitor. Pros: - stylish design, thin screen - good seller, immediately replaced my scratched base Cons: - black colors wash out completely. The backlight makes blacks look bright, not true black. Not fixed by setting display options - horizontal display lines. Not sure if this is normal or if I'm sitting too close and noticing them, especially annoying when watching videos - my screen flickers from time to time. Usually stops when the screen reloads. Although it may be due to the dock, I'm not sure.

the image quality is excellent, the colors too and the viewing angles are very good, almost like ips, if you are not used to using a monitor above 60hz it will seem more than ideal and if you are not a gamer either! It's great for work or multimedia entertainment, as well as light gaming, but some competitors may prefer a monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate.

I really liked this screen but less than 2 years after I got it it suddenly stopped working. (Long enough that it's no longer guaranteed, funny how that works.) I have a 32 inch LG monitor which is amazing with great colors and 1440 (2k) resolution. I needed a 27 inch monitor to connect to my laptop and this HP monitor did not disappoint. I doubt HP has anything to do with its actual production other than the exterior design. It might even be made by LG (in China, of course). The 1080p resolution is more than enough for its size, and it's so thin and light! I am impressed.

I am very disappointed that within the first month of use it has two very noticeable streaks of dead pixels. One is in the right quarter of the screen, the other is an inch from the top and splits the address lines in half. I bought this monitor specifically for my office because it works so well at home. I took them to work and liked them so much I bought them for my personal office too. They are huge and have excellent image quality. They work great as dual monitors or as a standalone monitor.

I think HP 27" monitors are the perfect size. Monitor worked fine for a month and just stopped working. Won’t power on!! This model has great colors and screen images!

The monitor didn't work. Not sure! It shows many colored pixels but no clear image. Items have been returned for a refund.

Pairing with your MacBook Pro using an HDMI cable is very simple. But getting this supposedly 1080p monitor to not be grainy and have legible text wasn't easy. Looking through posts online and on the HP support site it seems that others are having the same issue. If you're connecting to a Mac, read a lot more than me so you don't end up with a useless 27-inch monitor.

Great gaming monitor. I got this for my nephew for Christmas to come with his gaming desktop. I couldn't believe how crystal clear and sharp this monitor is. He is more than happy with the size, clarity and performance. I would recommend it to anyone looking for one.

The monitor wouldn't turn on after two hours of trying to get it to work. I bought 3 identical monitors and this was the only one that didn't connect to a computer. I just bought 4 monitors of the same type and it works great.

This is an excellent monitor. Easy setup and excellent color reproduction. I've had eye strain with previous monitors, but I can work on this monitor for hours without eye strain or fatigue.

Great monitor, very light and thin with a hollow stand that keeps my desk looking clean. The screen's anti-reflective coating is also good.

Brightness or contrast cannot be reduced. You're stuck at 90. Can go up to 100 but not down. No answers other than download a new driver or try a generic driver on the HP support forum. PRO: 2 HDMI ports, thin bezel CONT: Brightness issue mentioned above. It would be nice to be able to raise or lower the monitor
