Description of Hurst 5008555 Gear Shift Cable

Standard cable for Pro Matic 2 and V-Matic 2 with 5 feet adjustable single eyelet. Feature a solid 303 stainless steel inner wire core for strength. Core is encased within a nylon liner wrapped with helical lay wires and swaged ends for superior strength. Inner wire core is lubricated with Teflon prior to assembly. Core sealed in a heavy plastic outer casing for a lifetime durability and smooth operation.

Smooth Shifting with this Cable

When I tried this gear shift cable I was amazed by how smoothly it shifted .The installation process was hassle-free and the cable itself is very durable. The only downside is that it`s a bit more expensive than other cables on the market. Overall, I highly recommend this cable for any performance car enthusiast looking to improve their shifting experience..

Be careful if you have high performance exhaust manifolds - this cable.

Beware if you have high performance exhaust manifolds - this cable literally can't handle the heat! My cable's insulation melted and stuck to the inner shaft of the actuator. Not very convenient if you are planning a long cruise. However, if the cable is kept away from heat, it is very durable.
