If you pull the cord up the grommet pulls with it; but in my experience it is typical of a mouse hole grommet. The actual block is stiff enough to hold the ends of the cable so they don't fall through the hole, just what I wanted. There's nothing more annoying than trying to hold onto one hand while yourself the cable snaking back into the shabby underground of your desk.

I'm working on a control board project and needed 2 inch sockets so I wanted to try them. I've used other brands with my 2" hole saw and they've always wobbled a bit so I have to wrap the bit with black tape or resort to superglue to keep them from falling out. I haven't had any problems with them. I used the same 2" hole saw and they came out very tight, almost too tight for me to give them a good push to fully seat them. I have an aquarium and a chlorinated water source.
