🐠 Betta, Bowl, and Aquarium Hydor Slim Heater Review

Worked for about a year and woke up this morning with 6 loud bangs to find smoke coming from the tank. Black soot and dead fish everywhere. Not knowing anything better, my son climbed into the aquarium to try and save the fish. This is a clear safety hazard and a high risk of electric shock. I don't know if this thing is UL or CSA approved, but it's definitely worth checking out. Made in China so I doubt it.

I was a bit skeptical about buying this as some reviews said it electrocutes fish. But I needed something small for my 1g tank. I use this in my 1 gallon bowl for my cock. I connected it to a timer so that my fish have a regular daily routine. APPEARANCE: Easy to bury under rocks. I originally got a 4w round heater for my betta bowl but it didn't heat it to the right temperature (maybe 5 degrees) so I have I opted for 7.5 W works great. I love the super slim shape which makes it easy to attach the heater to the back of my betta bowl behind a small filter that also attaches to the wall with a suction cup.
