Broke after 2 months

This pump has worked well for several months but the plastic fasteners that hold the diaphragms in place are very cheap! I emailed the company a few weeks ago without even letting me know I even existed. I will never buy anything Hydropharma again. I'll post a photo of the broken part.

What's Wrong With Air Pump Accessories

Don't worry. It's fantastically loud. It sounds like a can full of nuts and bolts. There's no point in forcing them to send a replacement, it wouldn't be much better. There's nowhere in my house I can put it without having to turn up the volume on the TV to hear it or wear earplugs to fall asleep.

Good for the price - fish and aquatic animals

I bought this air pump after reading several reviews on websites which gave it high marks for being very quiet, great performance and low power consumption. However, it seems noisy to me, as expected, most air pumps vibrate, and with the cabinet doors closed I can still hear the vibration from this one. I think it's ok for the price, but after reading it I'm still disappointed that it got such a high rating for low noise. I added cotton around the fixed parts to reduce vibration and that has…

Lots of air and noise

This is a powerful unit. The specifications indicate 7.8 l/min. Although I haven't done any tests, I can subjectively say that it produces a lot of air. The specs also say it's quiet. Well, maybe it's relative to air volume. Mine sounded like a lawn mower. (Perhaps a bit of an exaggeration.) I may have received a defective model. If noise levels are tolerable in your situation, this is a great device at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately I had to send my device back. My aquariums are in the

Lasted 5 years Good for air pump supplies

This is a long term review. I bought the pump in December 2012 and kept it running until July 2017. It still worked, but very noisy and very little air. This is very good for these pumps. All rubber membranes harden over time. This one has lasted as long as anything I've bought. My biggest complaint is that I don't see any replaceable diaphragms for it. Since they always go bad, there must be a substitute. I'm sure some other brands of diaphragms will probably work, but over the years I've…

Defective right out of the box!

I received this item yesterday and right out of the box, air came out of only one of the two outlets. I came here to see if anyone else had the same experience and lo and behold Philip M. Brandon wrote a review saying it stopped working after two months. After reading his review I opened mine and had the exact same problem. A broken piece of plastic lay on the bottom of the case. It broke after two months and mine broke upon arrival. You might get lucky and get one that works, but after looking

Works great in the air pump accessory

This pump works well with my 5 gallon DWC setup. I use it for air in a total of 6 buckets, 3 per side. This is my first year with hydroponics and it most likely isn't rated for 6 buckets but so far it's working well. I was torn between using an aerator and the short method. I chose the ventilation route. Even if it doesn't work for 6 buckets, I think a little air is better than none at all. I plan on adding a few more buckets next year which will require a more powerful pump but this one will…

Solid actor. by Fish & Aquatic Pets

This is a good pump at a reasonable price. I use it on a gravel pack in a 25 year old 55 gallon tank. I do NOT like powerheads. Too much time is required for maintenance and further operation. I personally prefer an air pump. I went for the dual nozzle option and it offers enough airflow to get the job done well. I like the ability to regulate the amount of air used. I like that it's efficient with only 3 watts of power (that's what the specs say. I've NOT checked this). That's more than I…

Works great: Aquarium pumps and filters

The fish in my outdoor pond looked lethargic. I checked the pH, acidity and chlorine levels and everything is fine. I thought maybe my water element wasn't moving the water fast enough to keep it aerated so I decided to add this pump. My pond is 10x8 and 2 to 3 feet deep. I was surprised that this little pump could pump so much air. Within minutes of adding it to my pond, the fish came to life and started swimming. The pump pumps out a lot of air, even at a depth of 3 feet the bubbles go all…
