Kia Optima 2014: Switches and Relays

Original shark fin lost at car wash. Not a perfect fit but I assumed it would be close enough. Inside I saw off some plastic parts and glued the gorilla in place. Stayed 5 months and was waterproofed with Gorilla Glue.

  • Easy to use
Cons

Transparency? Why is?

This product was not a direct replacement for the antenna cover on my 2017 Sonata, but was the best value product available. My local body shop painted it the color of the car and filled it with epoxy so it ended up costing way more than it should have, but at least it doesn't get hit on the freeway like the original.

Needed epoxy but looks good

Bought for 2016 Hyundai Veloster. For those who have this or a similar machine, note that it does not attach naturally. It will fit into your case but you will have to use epoxy to attach it. Other than that, I just wanted to save money, so I'm happy with that. If you're willing to attach it yourself, this is a great, cheaper alternative.

2017 Hyundai Veloster - Fits

Reminder that this is a complete "Antenna" replacement. It's not just the fin cap. It fits perfectly and I believe an OEM fin for my 2017 Hyundai Veloster. I removed the screws and just took the part of the fin and glued it on. The dealer offered me almost 300€ for a replacement. So I used gorilla glue but I also see that it's wise to use epoxy and some other alternatives. I will also do this to make it more secure. There was no close-up photo, but that's exactly what I needed.

Pros
  • Switches and Relays
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Yes it fits 2016 Sonata

Ok. This is NOT EXACTLY the right fit. I bought this to replace an OEM that fell off my daughter's car. It comes in two parts and you just unscrew the bottom and don't use it. I just used the plastic sheet. Painted and varnished before installation. So the rubber pad had to be shortened a bit on the base that was still on the car. I carefully used a razor, cut and checked the fit. When all was good I used gorilla epoxy and green masking tape to secure it. So far no problems. Much better than…

Used for Genesis on Relay

I have a 2016 Genesis G80 without spending over $300 on a part and 6 to 8 hours at the dealer for a replacement, have this option. My cover was blown driving the interstate. Of course, Hyundai doesn't know about this, but it looks like they've had issues with the Sonata and Kia Optima doing just that. I had to remove the inside of the antenna and then use a razor to trim some plastic from the outside edge to get a snug fit. It's not perfect, but you never know unless you look at it and know…
