I bought 4 hard drives 0F23668. Now I have problem with 4 hard drives out of 4, many times lost data on 4 hard drives, with Inateck FD2005 hard drive enclosure. My problem is that at first the data of one partition disappeared on 3rd or 4th disk and in August when I used 1st and 2nd disk in FD2005, all the data of 2nd disk in Mini Tool Partition and also me can't access the data, so I recovered most of the movie data using TestDisk. Then I formatted the second hard drive. Also this time againโ€ฆ

Very important. Exactly as described. Easy to use, plug and play!

I managed to use regular internal hard drives as removable external hard drives. I installed two 3.5" drives and transferred 4TB of information between them. Works like clockwork! I was able to easily format my drive for my Mac with this installation case. It was ready to go out of the box! The on/off switch on the back is a big plus. Great for power surges and more (although not as good as a surge protector! But that has nothing to do with the usefulness of this model) Not mentioned in theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Security

Inateck standalone cloners are the best out there.

I already have an Inateck FD2102 docking station/standalone cloner and I can say that there is no functional difference between FD2102 and FD2005. Both builds are good and both do everything I want them to do, which is disk cloning. I've never really used USB drive docking - certainly not enough to provide a detailed overview of this aspect of the device - but I use drive cloning all the time. I've had it for a few years now) and the FD2005 (which I bought a few days ago) is simple: theโ€ฆ

Excellent machine for disk cloning

I bought this machine mainly for disk cloning. I have several computers at home and several at work (small office). Each has a system disk for the operating system and applications and a data disk for user data. The data is backed up online and is therefore safe. But when the system disk fails, it takes time to reinstall the operating system and applications. My plan is to clone the system drives once a month. So if anything happens, I can just replace the cloned drive and the system will be up

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Good quality for the price. (great for cloning) (worst dock design)

I use it as a 2 bay hard drive dock and backup hard drive cloner. Pros + Great for disk cloning, very good speed. + Small, light. + The blue light only flickers when that particular hard drive is in use. (I've seen some people report that the blue lights don't reflect disk usage. In my experience, this is incorrect.) About 40% of the time, I find that I haven't fully seated the disk. (This is very annoying.) -There is no way to turn off only one hard drive at a time. I have to turn off theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

About Windows disk cloning: I bought a hardware disk copier that works offline (doesn't need to be connected to a computer to work) and I'm trying to copy my system disk to an SSD to copy: failed again. In the end, the only thing that worked was unplugging the system drive and plugging in the SSD and using a repair disk with recovery media to actually do a clean install on the SSD. Conclusion: I strongly suspect that the cloned system drive MUST be equal or larger in PHYSICAL size (totalโ€ฆ
