Ingersoll Rand Start-up Kit (Model 2420/2340/2475) for Air Compressors Review

This will keep my compressor running for many years. Changing the filter requires a lot of effort in a dusty environment.

The box looked perfect but 3 out of 4 bottles of oil leaked. The bottles themselves looked perfect, but each plastic bag held about a cup of oil. It was a huge mess.

I think the oil will be fine. I don't know because I haven't had it in my compressor for a very long time. It was pretty expensive. When the package arrived, one of the containers was leaking. The seal was removed and the entire package was covered in oil.

A bit pricey for a couple of jugs of oil and a couple of air filters but just what I needed to keep the compressor running. The 80 gallon IR I have is a workhorse and just keeps ticking. I wish the kit had 2 less oil jugs and 2 extra air filters but it's still worth buying and getting this kit so you don't have to worry.

I was just about to change the oil on my IR 2475n7 which is a larger 7.5hp 80 gallon 230v unit a good quality synthetic oil for compressors. My compressor was expensive so I won't skimp on the cheaper oil. If you look at AZ or other sources, a liter of this oil costs about $40. With this kit you get 4 liters at a significantly lower unit price. The air filters are too small for my compressor but I can give them away and save money compared to just buying the oil. In comparison, it's a lot cheaper than going to one of the local shops and just buying oil. I originally purchased this product from Severny Tool and the equivalent was almost double the price of standard oil, not the best synthetic oil. I live in South Florida and use this compressor for sandblasting, it keeps the compressor noticeably cooler and has less dirt in it when I change the oil.
