Perfect fit for my Audio-Technica AT2020 USB!

I needed to put something on my desk that would fit my Audio-Technica AT2020 USB and it worked. It's long enough to be placed on the edge of my desk and easily swivels my mic closer or farther when I need it. The heavy base easily holds the weight of the microphone in an ideal position and stays in place for weeks. Love it and glad I didn't get those ugly barbell clamps. The shock mount I use is "AT2020 Microphone Shock Mount with Pop Filter, PEMOTech Universal Microphone Mount 46-53mm Diameter

There is no easy way to keep the mic arm from rotating

It's hard to explain, but the actual arm that holds the mic can rotate in the sleeve that holds it. This means that if you place the mic at its end, like the Blue Yeti, which is lightweight, the inability to tighten your arm (like you might with a tripod leg) allows the mic to swing left or right walk. This is especially problematic when adding a shock absorber, as the weight of the shock absorber and its mount can cause the long arm shaft to rotate in the bushing. I haven't found an easy wayโ€ฆ

Looks solid and worth the money

I recently switched from a headset to a desktop mic so this is my first mic stand. It feels very solid, is easy to set up, and holds my HyperX quadcast well. I accidentally broke one of the cable management clips when trying to pull it out to thread my wire through (this only happened with the top clip, I was able to pull the clip off the base with no problem). I was able to tape it in place and it still does the job. While I don't think this would have happened if the plastic was made with aโ€ฆ

Decent stand for my Shure MV7 mic (U-clamps snap easily into place)

Sturdy (no cable clamps, more on that below). The weighted base works well with my Shure MV7 microphone. I had to use the screw adapter that came with the InnoGear with the Shure MV7, so that was good. with his help. Cable management U-clamps are fragile, so be careful. A clip broke when I first tried using them with a mic cable. And I was careful. It just broke like a branch. So not impressed with the build quality of the clips. Also, they dropped the price by almost 20% within a week ofโ€ฆ

Full functionality

Advantages: - Heavy base that is quite capable of supporting the microphone on a fully extended arm - Robust hinge. I have never experienced weight fluctuations with my AT2035 microphone. Convenient locks. Locking mechanisms are easy to tighten and loosen - height. The height is enough to put the stand on the table - Feels like it will last a long time with good care of course - Cleanliness. It looks smooth. I like the twist lock, it looks minimalistic. Supplied with microphone holder and screw

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Durable
