Very nice and handy device. Highly recommended!

Very nice and handy device. The 4 stars are due to the touch function, which works but is not perfect. It would be ideal if the sensitivity of the touch function could be changed, or at least there was a kind of touch reaction for the user with a beep when pressed, which could be switched on or off, for example. Please note this is an enclosure only and requires a 2.5" SATA hard drive to function. I installed a 2TB mechanical hard drive in it and booted the main ISO files from many installation

Pros
  • AES 256-XTS/Write Protection Lock/Win To Go/Auto Sleep/Safe Erase/Firmware Update
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

The best IT device since sliced โ€‹โ€‹bread.

When I discovered this on Revain, I didn't know such a device existed! I was really excited to try this out and see if it would allow me to get rid of my USB stick folder in my portable emergency kit. This device saved me a lot of time creating and using separate USB sticks to install and restore the OS in the data center. I just have to put it in virtual CD mode and it boots like a charm but much, much faster. Encrypted mode and read-only modes are a definite plus. The screen and UI work wellโ€ฆ

Pros
  • VHD - Image of virtual disk to physical disk
Cons
  • Some problems

Every technician's best friend!

After reading the description I thought it was all too good to be true. Succumbed to the idea of using only one external drive as an external drive, multiple drives (VHD) and an optical drive together with PIN encryption, I decided to give it a try. This device has become my go-to tool in almost every computer repair/diagnostic situation. For computers that cannot boot from external flash drives, I can mount the ISO image and iODD will act as a virtual disk reader so the computer will bootโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Detected as a bootable optical drive (DVD, Blu-ray Rom) to boot by selecting ISO file.
Cons
  • Periodicity

UEFI (GPT) and MBR work great! Amazing Little Device

I was skeptical that this device could emulate MBR/GPT properly and decided to give it a try . I had no idea I was in for a surprise. Yes, the internal drive you plug into the device must be formatted as MBR, and it's completely independent of how it mounts ISOs and VHDs. It's absolutely transparent. You can divide the VHD into sections as you like. MBR and GPT. Once connected, it behaves like a virtual disk format! That's great! When you have all those "Oh shit, it won't load!" dozens of times

Pros
  • AES 256-XTS/Write Protection Lock/Win To Go/Auto Sleep/Safely Erase/Firmware Update
Cons
  • Exchange Availability
