Amazingly effective and durable

I was very skeptical about using this on a black metal patio railing due to the thickness of the metal. But I was hoping it would work for the few cuts I needed to make on my small deck. On my first try I expected a very slow cut but was amazed at how fast it cuts. It cut about 60 cuts quickly on this deck so I continued to use it for the rest of the railing and made maybe 300-400 cuts total before it fried, admittedly slower and slower towards the end. there are very expensive blades for…

It does a VERY good job

I have used this blade to cut roof sheet metal and am very happy with the results. Before I got this blade I used a different type of blade to cut metal and the results were mediocre but much better and faster than cutting by hand. The Irwin is much faster and produces a very clean cut with almost no burr on the edge. I had to cut 15 pieces of 3ft sheet metal, some at 62°, and this disc did the job perfectly. The only problem is that it picks up a huge amount of metal shavings and they fly…

This saw blade is the best solution for cutting roof sheet metal

This saw blade is the best solution for cutting metal roof sheet metal. It does not burn metal or damage paint like other "metal" blades. This blade literally slices through metal slowly and generates almost no heat. I've used it for cutting valley roof sheet metal and had absolutely no problems. After cutting over 20 pieces of metal and 10 pieces of finish, the blade still cuts like new. It was worth its weight in gold compared to using metal shears. The only warning I would give is to use…

Does the job at a great price.

Long and short. Put this on my skilsaw worm drive (the blade has a diamond knockout). Approximately 80 cuts made through Menard Premium 28g steel roofing. Straight cuts (38 inches) were made simultaneously on four sheets. The valley cuts were made sheet by sheet. The last cut was as easy as the first. I only needed it for a job so for the price I paid it's a steal. I lost a tooth (more like a blade) somewhere along the way, but it didn't affect cutting ability. Neat edges, I hit the edges in…

Very Dissatisfied - Power Tools and Hand Tools

Very disappointed with this blade. I bought this knife based on the price and reviews. I've read the 1 and 2 star reviews and have concluded that some of the bad reviews are from people using this saw blade on saws that are designed for grinding wheels, not lower speed saws. I put this blade on a Dewalt DW872. The original blade was capable of hundreds of cuts of various sizes and angles, pipe, channel and solid bar. The first cuts with this Irwin blade made a very strong impression on us and…

cuts metal! fits saws, parts and accessories

really cuts metal! Who would have thought that. I'm a general contractor. I bought it to cut corrugated iron roofs. he cut it like a hot knife through butter. no joke. then I used it on a pile of wood with nails. demolition blade to cut things. Good for cutting wood with a saw. Then I cut out 1/2 of the rebar. cuts that too. I probably cut 50 rebars. still works. I used it as a demo blade for about a year. I recently had another job that required me to cut a steel unistrut. I bought a second…

Worked great! for blades

I needed to replace the gutters in my house and all the boards along the eaves but had a problem. The house already had a steel roof installed, but it was unevenly laid. This is an old house and was not built square so the owner must have tried to compensate by not trimming each leaf leaving a very noticeable zigzag pattern along the eaves. In some places it protruded over 4 inches above the eaves, causing some of the rainwater to overflow through the gutter. In order for the gutters to collect

I wish I had bought this sooner!

This blade is a real find. I ended up buying it for cutting ribbed steel panels for workshop interior walls after trying several other cheaper alternatives. I started with scissors and then sanding wheels on a grinder and a circular saw. Abrasive wheels worked, but they threw sparks everywhere, made it difficult to get a straight cut, and burned the paint on the metal. I decided to try this blade after reading many positive reviews from others who have used it for the same application and all I
