IWISS Crimper Impression Deutsch Contacts Review

Great crimping tool, I have a matching CAT German crimping tool in my work van and wanted my own for personal use at home. This thing costs 1/8 the price and is just as good.

I have wires on my HD StreetGlide and wanted to make some solid pin quick connectors. This tool has worked well and seems to be making a big difference.

This product is as advertised and works well with the equipment I was assigned to service. Crimp firmly without violating the integrity of the pin. If funds are available I will be ordering another for second place due to distance and availability.

My truck had a plug adapter, Ford charged $186 for the brand and pin socket. , I have a few connectors left for future projects. It was definitely a great purchase, high quality. Very satisfied!

I have just used this product and it is really nice. Probably made in China but I don't care. This is a quality tool that is reliable enough for a professional to use every day. I know how to use tools. I have a Mac, Snap-On, Proto, pre-American Craftsman, Matco, Blue Point, Klein, etc. Thing is, I know quality tools and this is a quality tool.

This tool is of very good quality and feels good in my hand. I just didn't read the entire description regarding the dimensions that fit inside. It was my fault. The Deutsch connector barrels I have have a neck or stop midway on the press side of the barrel. It is not compatible with this as it is for a much smaller wire. Great device, but I had to send it back.

Some previous reviewers have noted problems installing Deutsch pins in the crimping tool. Not sure why but my guess is they were the wrong size for their needs. I bought size 16 Deutsch pins which are perfect for these crimpers. Note, however, that other sized pins will require a different sized crimping tool. DEPTH IN PLACE - 2 sets of 4 round crimps are even and strong. The ratchet provides a reasonable crimp - be sure to read the crimp pressure instructions as the setting may have changed…

If you're crimping solid Deutsch contacts, you need this type of tool. I chose the Iwiss IWD-20 for the price and was quite surprised by the quality. Knowing the correct wire gauge is important when crimping solid tube connectors. More expensive crimping tools cost about two hundred dollars, for a small job it was prohibitively expensive for me.
